JP Smith is an Australian professional tennis player, competing in the ATP Challenger Tour and ITF Futures. J P Smith took the top US college honors of being named four-time All-American in singles and doubles. This is only the second time in United States college history that the same player has taken both the singles and doubles title. JP is widely considered one of the most successful players in US college history. He has been a consistent champion for the University of Tennessee having been ranked no.1 in both singles and doubles throughout his four year college career. He also holds another rare claim to US college history. JP was twice named player of the year in the most competitive university draw in the United States.

Brett Carroll, outfielder, was named to the USA Baseball for the World Cup/Pan Am Team. The team competed in both the IBAF Baseball World Cup in Panama City, Panama, Oct. 2-15, and the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, Oct. 20-25. The U.S. roster features 24 players not currently on Major League Baseball 40-man rosters. Carroll, a former standout at Bearden High School, is in the Boston Red Sox organization. He started the season at Class AAA Nashville after Kansas City traded him on March 22 to the Milwaukee Brewers. His contract was purchased by the Brewers on July 21 and the 28-year-old had three at-bats. He was designated for assignment on July 30, opted for free agency and signed with the Red Sox and finished the season at Class AAA Pawtucket. In 117 games, Carroll hit .270 in 418 at-bats with 16 home runs and 63 RBIs.0

Michael Annett -Nationwide Driver Annett earned the Mobil 1 Driver of the Race award for his sixth place finish last night in Bristol Motor Speedways Food City 250 on the home track of his Knoxville, Tenn.-based sponsor, Pilot Flying J. Driving Rusty Wallace Racings No. 62 Pilot Flying J Toyota, Annett notched his sixth top-10 finish of the season, racking up his second Mobil 1 Driver of the Race award in 2011.

Kelsey Robinson UT Volleyball The Southeastern Conference announced its 2011 Volleyball All-SEC Awards and the University of Tennessees Kelsey Robinson was named the SEC Volleyball Player of the Year. The University of Kentuckys Stephanie Klefot was named Libero of the Year and Tennessees Mary Pollmiller was named Freshman of the Year. Kentuckys Ann Armes and Floridas Kristy Jaeckel were named Co-Scholar-Athletes of the Year, while Coach of the Year honors went to Tennessees Rob Patrick. Robinson becomes the first Lady Vol to earn Player of the Year honors. She helped lead Tennessee to its second SEC title and ranks top-two in the league in kills (4.57/set) and service aces (0.37). Robinson is 10th in the NCAA in points per set (5.17) and was named SEC Player of the Week four times in 2011. She was one of three SEC players to earn AVCA National Player of the Week honors during the season.
